Tour Description
Visit the Lake Chiemsee, the “Bavarian Ocean”. Perfectly located on the foothills of the Alps, only two hours away from Munich. Here you can expect not only idyllic landscape and majestic mountains, but also one of the incredible construction projects of King Ludwig II. The so called “Mad” King of Bavaria. His Herrenchiemsee Palace, located on an Island in the middle of the Lake.
Early in the morning you will be picked up at your Hotel in Munich, by your private Guide. A two hours car ride will bring you to the Lake. There you go on a ship that brings you to the islands. After visiting the Palace and a lunch break you will explore more. On a different Island you will see one of the oldest Monasterys of Bavarian history. One of the ships will bring you back to beginning and you will be driven back to Munich.
